Mid-Season Update: BoobArmour Trial

26 Jun by Peter Parslow

Northwest Lightning (and Pennant Hills Junior Football Club: PHJAFC) have reached the half-way mark for season 2024 with their U17 Youth Girls (Div 1) team trialing the BoobArmour protective inserts.

Thanks to the generosity of Concrete Reinforcement Services, some trial inserts have also been provided to our younger age groups for 2024. The clubs see this as an important initiative in AFLW that is an extra way of ensuring player safety and enjoyment of the game.

Suzie Betts, Founder of Boob Armour, expressed her support for the initiative, saying, “It’s wonderful to see PHJAFC embracing Boob Armour. Just like a mouthguard, these inserts are essential for protecting our girls. I encourage parents to support this initiative to help prevent both immediate injuries and long-term trauma, which is proven to empower confidence and enhance performance.”

More to come at end of the year (hopefully with another girls’ premiership flag in hand!).
